Terms and Conditions / Disclaimer...

The PaperShed offers goods as displayed on this site to retail end users.

Product descriptions and prices

Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, The PaperShed will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling.

All items are offered subject to availability. If on receipt of your order, the item(s) you have ordered are not in stock, The PaperShed will inform you as soon as possible, giving you the option to have them placed on back-order for dispatch when returned to stock. If you decline this option, a reduction in payment equal to the value of the out of stock items will be made. If you pay by cheque, a credit will be assigned to your account.

Photographs

We have gone to great lengths to illustrate our products, but each image should be viewed in conjunction with the descriptive text and will, of course, be limited by the screen settings of your own monitor screen. If an exact colour match is vital, we recommend you order a sample swatch or contact us.

We can sometimes offer a bespoke dyeing service at a supplementary charge . Please note that, whilst we make every effort to repeat dye within a specified colour palette, ours is a hand dyeing process and exact matching is sometimes impossible to achieve.

Payment

We ask for payment in advance of posting. This can be by credit/debit card, via our secure shopping system, or by cheque or postal order for UK customers. Your card will not be debited until your order is dispatched, but, for security reasons, we bank cheques on receipt. If you are shopping from outside the United Kingdom, your card company will convert the transaction into your own currency.

Shipping / Postage & Packing

Postage and Packing charges are added to the cost of your order and displayed under your basket. They are calculated by weight of contents and by destination. To see a summary of our Shipping charges, please click here.

The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order. We aim to dispatch all orders within two working days, provided no additional security checks are required and all stock items are available. During busy times, or for bespoke orders, this time frame can increase. A working day is any day other than weekends and bank or other public holidays.

If delivery cannot be made to your address for reasons under The PaperShed's control The PaperShed will inform you as soon as possible and refund or credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for delivery.

If you deliberately fail to take delivery of the order (otherwise than by reason of circumstances under control of The PaperShed) then without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to The PaperShed, The PaperShed may a) store the items in the order until actual delivery and charge you for reasonable costs (including insurance) of storage; or b) sell the items in the order at the best readily obtainable price and (after deducting all reasonable storage and selling expenses) account to you for any excess over the price you agreed to pay for the items or charge you for any shortfall below the price you agreed to pay for the items.

If you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Distance Selling Regulations The PaperShed shall refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the order, less any expenses incurred for failed delivery.

Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, The PaperShed will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, The PaperShed will inform you as soon as possible.

If a carrier is used, upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the items received in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of the package at that moment in time please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any claim for replacement or refund that you make thereafter.

Your Right of Cancellation (Distance Selling Regulations)

You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to the end of 7 working days after you receive your order (see below).

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to The PaperShed by letter, fax or email, giving details of the items ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. Notification by phone is not sufficient.

If you exercise your right of cancellation after the items have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning them to The PaperShed at your own cost. The items must be returned to: PaperShed, Old Portsmouth Road, Peasmarsh, Guildford, Surrey, GU3 1LZ. You must take reasonable care to ensure the items are not damaged in the meantime or in transit.

Once you have notified The PaperShed that you are cancelling the contract, The PaperShed will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the items. If you do not return the goods as required, The PaperShed may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the items.

Returns and Refunds

If we make a mistake with your order, or if the goods received are in some way faulty, we have a no quibble returns policy. Simply return the item and we will replace it with the correct one. We will pay your return postage costs.

If you change your mind for any other reason, we are happy to exchange items, refund or credit your account, provided the goods are returned to us within 14 days of their receipt, in the original packaging and in a saleable condition. We regret, however, that we cannot, in this case, refund return postage costs.

Out of Stock Items

Sometimes, items are, for a variety of reasons, temporarily out of stock. We try to alert you to this fact on the website, but just occasionally, demand exceeds supply. If a product you have ordered is out of stock, we tell you about the problem, dispatch the rest of your order as normal, and place the out of stock item on back order. We try to estimate when new stocks will arrive and always give you the option of cancelling either the whole order or simply the out of stock item, if you would prefer not to wait. If you do opt to await new stock arriving, we would debit your card for the whole of the original order, plus postage and packing charges, on dispatch of the part order. The out of stock item will be forwarded to you immediately it becomes available, without further shipping charges.

V.A.T. (Value Added Tax)

All prices on this website include a UK sales tax of 17.5% for V.A.T. This applies to UK customers and those resident within the European Union (EU). If you live outside the EU, this tax will be deducted from your order at checkout. Please note that to be eligible for a VAT reduction, we need to deliver to an address outside the EU.

Limitation of Liability

The PaperShed's total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this agreement shall be limited to the price paid for the goods. Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits the liability of The PaperShed for death or personal injury caused by the Supplier's negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.

If you are a business customer The PaperShed shall not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with this agreement.

Data Protection

The PaperShed will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure but unless the paper shed is negligent, The PaperShed will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you.

Applicable Law

These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the contract.
